The Client

Cross Church is a nondenominational church located in the New Orleans corridor. They are one church with two locations. Lead pastors Brandon and Rachelle Bilbo planted Cross Church in 2016 with a desire to see people come to a thriving relationship with the Lord and find healing and restoration for themselves and their families. In addition to weekend services across two campuses, Cross Church also offers their members other incredible ministries, including Enjoy Recovery, Third Saturday Outreach, and a young adults internship program.

Cross Church is making a big impact in their community. They even launched a one acre farm on their church property, the proceeds of which go to local missions and community food programs. They also provide food for people in the community through House of Hope, where local hunters donate meat to help feed those in need. It’s safe to say that Cross Church is meeting needs in their community in creative ways.

The challenge

When Cross Church first came to Fluid Church, they were preparing to launch their second campus. They needed a comprehensive marketing package that would allow them to make the most of their budget and reach their audience effectively. Fluid Church was able to create a customized marketing strategy that was true to the brand and the vision of Cross Church. Instead of spending precious time and money on a direct mailer, Fluid Church was able to set up digital advertising that targeted the specific demographics and geographical area that Cross Church wanted to reach. As part of the marketing strategy, Fluid Church also provided Cross Church with a turnkey social media campaign called “500 Reasons”. The idea was 500 Reasons to visit Cross Church. The campaign included memes and stories and was successful at building buzz and momentum for the campus launch.

The Results

As a result of the direct consulting and marketing campaign that was created and implemented with the help of Fluid Church, Cross Church successfully launched their second campus and has since grown in attendance by 34%. By avoiding a physical mailer and instead focusing on digital advertising, they were able to use their budget more effectively and reach the people they were trying to reach.
