The Client

Reverb Church is a multi-site, non-denominational church based in St. Augustine, Florida. Founded by Pastor Bryan Lamoureux in 2012, Reverb Church attendance has grown to 700 people during weekend services, and offers three locations in World Golf Village, Downtown St. Augustine, and Nocatee.

Reverb Church has developed a unique approach to expansion via launching what they call “microsites.” Microsites are strategically placed temporary locations that help evaluate the level of attendee interest in a given area. Starting with a small 3-4 person worship team and a broadcasted message, microsites allow Reverb to try a “soft launch” in a new area, before committing to the expense and longevity of a permanent arrangement. If a microsite flourishes, Reverb then searches for a full-sized venue nearby, allowing the location to grow into a fully functioning campus.

The challenge

Due to Reverb’s unique and successful approach to development, the church has expanded greatly in a short period of time. This accelerated increase meant that Reverb was still attempting to use start-up systems to fulfill the needs of an established, growing church. With a small staff and outdated systems, Reverb needed a new approach to project management and assistance with comprehensive messaging, systems automation, and updating digital platforms.

The Results

After performing an audit of Reverb Church’s current organizational strategies, Fluid Church assembled a detailed, tailor-made plan to suit Reverb’s needs. First, Fluid Church recommended a new project management software that would allow for more streamlined task coordination and also allow each team member to best contribute in their designated fields. Fluid Church not only advised which software to use, but also helped migrate all existing tasks from their old software into the new program. They helped re-organize their task structure and trained staff members to use the new system.

Second, Fluid Church teamed up with Reverb’s Creative Team to update their digital presence. Fluid migrated the website to an updated platform, then prepared and added two pages of content to fill in informational gaps. Third, Fluid Church developed a highly detailed, comprehensive assimilation plan – complete with systems automation - that would begin with a visitor’s first time at Reverb Church and encourage them all the way to becoming fully integrated and involved members of the Church. This plan included everything from a text registration system and fully prepared email campaigns to phone call and video scripts.

The summary

Reverb Church, while highly influential, was beginning to grow out of the organizational systems and strategies they started with. Together, Fluid Church was able to fill in the gaps where needed, assist with the development of new processes, and, finally, ensure that Reverb Church would be tracking with every new visitor from day one.
